​About this wine:

This red wine is 100% Cabernet Franc sourced on Long Island. Our winemaker Mike Appolo was in the vineyard when this wine was harvested. Dry and full of smoke, bright cherry, and tobacco notes, this is Cabernet Franc was harvested on the North Fork of Long Island on November 2, 2021.  Because this was a rainy season with several hurricanes, these grapes are lighter than normal resulting in a lighter style red wine.

We call it Padre or Parent since Cabernet Franc is a parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carménère!

Some of this wine was blended into Captain's Blend as well to give acidity and balance to that wine.
